What makes it work.
New Biaxial Hybrid Carbon construction
Using a 380gsm e-glass allows us to tailor the weight and overall flex pattern of the board for use in lighter winds. 3DY Carbon contributes to the board’s lively feel, lower weight and pop.
Early planing and super upwind
Extra waterline length, a straighter, square outline with wide tips and medium rocker guarantees early planing, forward momentum and upwind performance in the lightest wind.
New larger integrated grab rail
A deeper rail is structurally integrated into the deck shape to provide easy grip for board-offs. The Grab-it rail can be used as an accessory with this deeper grab rail.
Dynamic Flex
Core thickness variations, taper, and longitudinal and lateral detailing play a significant role in controlling the overall feel. Board-specific laminate layups further fine-tune the flex.
Pop for lightwind tricks
The progressive medium-low rocker line is ideal for flatwater and creates a board with phenomenal pop that is surprisingly manoeuvrable and easy to turn despite its size.
Centre-V and quad channels
The quad concave channels with V-spine provide added stiffness, helping deflect the water for less resistance across the board’s surface, better upwind traction and high-speed control.

Lightweight, impact-resistant core
Renewable Paulownia hardwood is lightweight with high shear-strength and impact resistance. Core thickness is individually fine-tuned, so characteristics are consistent throughout the range.

Durable ABS rail with smoothed edge
For long-lasting, impact-resistant performance.
40mm Fins included
The Trace’s straight outline wants to track straight all on its own. With this shape, a smaller fin will help reduce drag in lighter wind, and let you push it around more.
FlipTech Mounting
Features FlipTech Mounting System, with centreline inserts, so when you wear out one side of your board, simply flip the bindings around for a shiny new heelside rail.
